Saturday TV Ratings 10/9/21: Saturday Night Live Rises with Host Kim Kardashian, College Football on CBS Dominates, Whose Line and Worlds Funniest Animals Solid for The CW (UPDATED)


Preliminary Analysis: The Kim Kardashian-hosted episode of 'Saturday Night Live' posted a 1.6 Adults 18-49 rating in the top 25 markets, up three-tenths from what last week's premiere managed in the same demo. In primetime, CBS's 'AL v. TX A&M' college football game (1.5) outpaced the combined total of the games on ABC (0.9) and Fox (0.4). NBC had a rerun of 'The Voice' (0.2), a strong edition of 'Dateline' (0.4), and 'SNL Vintage' (0.3). The premieres of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.1) and 'World's Funniest Animals' (0.1) were respectable by CW standards. 

Finals Update: College Football: AL v. TX A&M (+0.5) and College Football: MI v. NE (+0.2) adjusted up. Dateline NBC (-0.1) adjusted down.
