Friday TV Ratings 4/24/26: Happy’s Place Ties Series Low for Finale, NFL Draft Dips on Second Night, UFL Horrific [+ Analysis]

NBC sitcom Happy's Place (0.28, +0.02) looked respectable at eight, but there was a sudden plunge at 8:30 for its actual finale (0.18, -0.10). At nine, Dateline (0.22, -0.01) ticked down. On ABC, the NFL Draft (0.49) was down markedly from Thursday, but it still beat all other broadcast network offerings in the Adults 18-49 demographic. CBS's Sheriff Country (0.27, +0.04) rose, but Fire Country (0.22, -0.02) and Boston Blue (0.18, -0.03) slipped. UFL on Fox (0.06) completely underwhelmed. The American Bible Challenge (0.02, -0.01) trailed a repeat of Penn & Teller: Fool Us (0.04) on the CW. Key: (R) = repeat. (F) = finale.

Thursday TV Ratings 4/23/26: Matlock Ends on a Series Low, NFL Draft Down 15% Year-to-Year, Animal Control and Going Dutch Also End Lower [+ Analysis]

On CBS, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage (0.33, -0.10) declined sharply, Ghosts (0.34, -0.01) dipped slightly, and Matlock (0.17, -0.05) faded away for its finale. Declines were also prevalent on Fox as Animal Control (0.16, -0.04) and Going Dutch (0.14, -0.05) slipped for their own finales. Next Level Chef (0.21, -0.01) was also down at eight. ABC was above the other broadcast networks with its showing of the NFL Draft (0.88), while Law & Order (0.20, -0.04), SVU (0.25, -0.05), and The Hunting Party (0.16, -0.03) all lost momentum on NBC. Scrabble (0.03, -0.03) and Trivial Pursuit (0.04, -0.03) failed to buck the overall trend of the night on the CW. Key: (F) = finale.

Ratings Analysis: Dramas NCIS: Sydney (0.22, -0.08) and Fire Country (0.35, -0.04) slipped for their respective CBS finales, but the latter was still the top-rated scripted program of the night. On ABC, the 2025 NFL Draft (0.92) was down a bit in the demo but led the night. NBC drama Grosse Pointe Garden Society (0.10, -0.03) declined and lost to Dateline (0.15) once more. Ratings Analysis: On ABC, the 2025 NFL Draft posted a strong 1.09 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic, a 4% improvement on last year's performance (1.05). Over on CBS, Georgie & Mandy (0.38, -0.08) and Ghosts (0.32, -0.08) both took a hit, and Elsbeth (0.25, -0.01) dropped in its move to nine. NBC aired reruns of Law & Order (0.16), SVU (0.18), and Found (0.12). Fox cooking series Next Level Chef (0.22, -0.14) plummeted, but Farmer Wants a Wife (0.18, +0.01) ticked up. Police 24/7 (0.06, -0.01) inched down on the CW. Key: (R) = repeat.
