Thursday TV Ratings 7/2/20: Council of Dads Down for Series Finale, Holey Moley and Young Sheldon Repeats Lead (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: On a night with few originals to be found, NBC housed the series finale of drama 'Council of Dad' (0.4). It held even with last week, capping off its lengthy 10-episode run on a decent note. 'Council' led into an original 'Blindspot' (0.3) and an 'SVU' repeat (0.2). Despite the president's calls for 'LAW & ORDER', 'SVU' was a notch lower than usual.

ABC had sturdy game show repeats, 'Holey Moley' (0.5) / 'Don't' (0.4) / 'To Tell the Truth' (0.4), while CBS had comedy and drama encores (0.5/0.3/0.4/0.4/0.3). Fox's repeats of 'Celebrity Watch Party' (0.3) and 'Labor of Love' (0.2) were essentially on par with how the show would perform in originals. The CW was steady with 'Burden of Truth' (0.1) and 'In the Dark' (0.1).

Finals Update: Council of Dads (-0.1) adjusted down.

Thursday TV Ratings 6/25/20: Broke Steady At Low for Series Finale, Don’t and To Tell The Truth Rise (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: After a disheartening week two decline, ABC's 'Don't' (0.7) solidified its status as a strong performer by rising a tenth and matching its steady 'Holey Moley' lead-in (0.7). That positive momentum helped 'To Tell the Truth' (0.6) rise a tenth as well at 10.

Over on CBS, the series finale of Pauley Perrette sitcom 'Broke' (0.4) left a sour final impression before leaving the airwaves. The comedy ended a tenth below last week's installment and posted a new low. 'Broke' was surrounded by repeats of 'Young Sheldon' (0.6), 'The Unicorn' (0.4), 'Mom' (0.5), and 'SWAT' (0.3). 'Council of Dads' (0.4) gained a tenth on NBC but 'Blindspot' (0.3) held even, beaten out by a 10pm 'SVU' (0.4) repeat in the process. Fox lost a tenth apiece with 'Celebrity Watch Party' (0.3) and 'Labor of Love' (0.2) while the CW's lineup of 'Burden of Truth' (0.1) and 'In the Dark' (0.1) was stable.

Finals Update: Broke (+0.1) and Celebrity Watch Party (+0.1) adjusted up. The repeats of SVU (-0.1) and Mom (-0.1) adjusted down.

Thursday TV Ratings 6/18/20: Don’t and To Tell The Truth Shed Multiple Tenths, Blindspot Rises (UPDATED)

Thursday night was still topped by ABC, but it was less dominant victory this time around. New game show Don't dropped two tenths in week two, and was three tenths behind its week one preliminary number. To Tell The Truth also dropped two tenths with the weaker lead-in. Holey Moley was steady at 0.7 at 8 PM.

On NBC, Council of Dads held steady at a pathetic 0.3. Blindspot was able to rise to match that number at 9, and the Law & Order SVU repeat matched last week's 0.3.

Fox saw a small rise, with Labor of Love gaining a tenth to match last week's preliminary 0.3 rating (it later adjusted down to 0.2). With 0.3/0.3 halves, it doesn't look to be in much danger of adjusting at first glance, but it had those same halves last week as well. Celebrity Watch Party was stable at 0.4 at 8.

CBS lost one half of its two original programs as Man With a Plan exited the scene last week. It was replaced by a weak repeat of The Unicorn at 0.4 Elsewhere, a Young Sheldon repeat drew a 0.5 and a Mom encore got a 0.4, both down from 0.6s last week. A new episode of Broke slipped a tenth to a new low of 0.5, but this is its best retention ever which is one thing to its credit. The repeat of SWAT held steady.

The CW held steady at 0.1 for Burden of Truth and In the Dark.

Finals Update: The repeat of Young Sheldon (+0.1) adjusted up.
