A Million Little Things Renewed by ABC

A Million Little Things won't make it to a million seasons, but it will at least make it to five, as ABC has renewed the series today. The show premiered in 2018 to respectable ratings, seeing a ratings bump after being moved behind Grey's Anatomy in the second half of the season. It's declined since then, particularly since being moved back to Wednesdays last season. With a 38% drop from last season, it became the lowest-rated series on ABC this year with just a 0.26 average in the 18-49 demographic. However, the show remains a valuable asset for ABC on streaming, with a reportedly strong performance on Hulu, which ABC's parent company Disney owns a majority share of. A Million Little Things stars David Giuntoli, Grace Park, James Roday Rodriguez, Romany Malco, Christina Moses and Allison Miller. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

ABC Renews A Million Little Things

Fans of A Million Little Things have a million little reasons to celebrate. ABC has renewed the friendship drama for a fourth season. Season three saw the show move from Thursday back to its original Wednesday timeslot, and ratings plummeted as a result. It hit a series low in its first Wednesday episode and only got lower from there, eventually dipping to a 0.3. Despite the 40% year-to-year drop (to a 0.48 average), the series has managed to be a modest improvement on For Life despite a weaker lead-in, and boasts strong gains in delayed viewing and on streaming services. The show stars David Giuntoli, Romany Malco, Stephanie Szostak, Allison Miller, James Roday Rodriguez, Grace Park and Christina Moses, and is created by DJ Nash. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

A Million Little Things Renewed by ABC

Fans of A Million Little Things have a million little things to celebrate, as ABC has ordered a third season of the show. The family drama is in the middle of the ABC scripted pack with a 0.71 average for season two. The show's retention from lead-in Grey's Anatomy wasn't terribly impressive, but it wasn't bad enough to really put it in much danger this year. David Giuntoli, Romany Malco, James Roday, Stéphanie Szostak and Grace Park star in the series. This was a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

Predict the Premiere Ratings of Single Parents and A Million Little Things

Premiere Week continues tonight with the premieres of two ABC shows (their first newbies of the season), Single Parents and A Million Little Things. The shows are taking over for American Housewife (which moves to 8:30 to replace Speechless) and the canceled-then-revived by Netflix Designated Survivor.

Single Parents, Wednesdays at 9:30 on ABC:

The first new comedy the debut in premiere week (not counting early premieres of Rel and I Feel Bad) is Single Parents, a different sort of family comedy for ABC. While traditional family comedies are their forté, unconvential family comedy Splitting Up Together did reasonable well last season and it easily earned itself a second season. The series stars SNL's Taran Killam, Everybody Loves Raymond's Brad Garrett, and Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester. Can it start as well as previous Wednesday at 9:30 comedies like Blackish and American Housewife, or will it disappoint?

A Million Little Things, Wednesdays at 10 on ABC:

The second premiere of the night, A Million Little Things has been heavily promoted by its network, making it one of their most important launches of the fall. It's taking over for the tremendous disappointment that was Designated Survivor, so it doesn't have a huge bar to pass in order to be considered a success. However, ABC has been known recently for their struggles in the drama department. Will A Million Little Things be another ABC flop or a rare drama gem for them?
