TV Ratings 5/30/17: World of Dance Starts High, Downward Dog Falls, AGT Returns Huge (UPDATED)

It was a rough night to not be NBC. NBC was on top of the world last night, looking down on the other networks as they all failed to crack a 1.0 against the huge premieres of America's Got Talent and World of Dance. AGT started with a 2.6, steady year to year. At 10, World of Dance was a huge improvement on the premiere of last year's occupant Maya & Marty (which is MIA and is assumed to have been quietly canceled), pulling an impressive 2.4. Less impressive was Downward Dog on ABC, which fell three tenths against the increased competition. Also working against Downward Dog was its decreased lead-out, which likely was also a contributing factor to the show's drop. Also airing on ABC was the actual series finale of Imaginary Mary, which unsurprisingly hit a series low airing between repeats. CBS had solid Bull and NCIS repeats, and another pathetic rating from 48 Hours: NCIS, which was down a tenth with a lower lead-in. Fox aired the season (series?) finale of Prison Break, which had an incredibly impressive two tenth rebound despite a repeat lead-in and the AGT competition. iZombie on the CW once again had a 0.3, though it's less pathetic since its lead-in was an anemic Flash repeat.

TV Ratings 5/23/17: Voice Finale Steady With Monday Night, Downward Dog Holds Up Very Well, DWTS Ends Low (UPDATED)

Tuesday was a finale-packed night, with many shows ending their seasons last night. One show that's only just begun is Downward Dog, which aired its time-slot premiere. After a relatively low premiere, the show surprised by holding up very well, down just a tenth despite the loss of a lead-in and lower viewing levels. It's a pretty solid number considering some of the factors going against it, though it will face major competition next week with AGT, so that's going to be its true strength test. Behind it was the Dancing With the Stars finale, which came in a half point lower this Monday's performance show. On CBS, Bull aired behind an NCIS repeat and was noticeable effected, down two tenths to tie a series low. Behind it was another low-rated edition of 48 Hours: NCIS. Over on NBC, Great News had two higher-rated episodes at 0.7 and 0.8. They weren't exactly high rated, but the episodes still were stronger than the ugly 0.7/0.6s from last week. The Voice was up four tenths from last Tuesday and was pretty steady with this Monday's performance show with a 1.9, improving the 9 PM slot by an insane amount. Over on the CW, The Flash won the 8 PM hour with a 1.1, while iZombie ticked up preliminarily, though, other than its premiere, it has yet to hold onto a 0.4 in the finals. On Fox, Brooklyn Nine-Nine was even with last week, though Prison Break hit a new low against the increased competition from the Voice and DWTS.

TV Ratings 5/10/17: Great News Up a Little, Double Nine-Nine Steady (UPDATED)

After last week's Tuesday that featured many series lows, Tuesday was a night of upticks for some shows. The show most effected was Imaginary Mary, going from an ugly 0.7 to a still-not-great-but-passable 0.9. It's fellow ABC shows remained steady, though the Middle was up from last week's prelims. For NBC, their dreadful 9 PM got a bit less dreadful, with Great News growing to 0.7 in the second half. Great News was steady with last week in its first half. The Voice and Chicago Fire were steady. iZombie on the CW was up, with lead-in the Flash steady. While the 0.4 isn't a great result for iZombie, it's still better than the 0.3s it's been regularly getting. Fox swapped out The Mick for an additional Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode, and the cop comedy was steady with its episode from last week and a tenth lower than The Mick's finale. Prison Break improved a tenth after last week's 0.8. NCIS on CBS was the only show down week-to-week. The 1.4 is steady with last week's preliminary ratings, thought the series later adjusted up. It's a noticeably weaker result than most ratings from NCIS's 14th season, but still stronger than that random 1.3 from a few weeks ago. NCIS's lead-outs Bull and NCIS: NOLA were both steady.

TV Ratings 4/18/17: Trial & Error Goes Out Steady With Last Week, American Housewife Ticks Up (UPDATED)

Tuesday night was full of brand new series lows for many shows, though some shows managed to rebound from last week. On ABC, the Middle hit a new low, and Fresh Off the Boat was down, making American Housewife, Imaginary Mary, and SHIELD all look stronger as they grew from last week. NBC had the season finale of Trial & Error, which was mostly steady with last week, though down a tenths in the second half. The Voice was down a tenth from its latest original Tuesday outing (last week's 1.6 was for a clip show). CBS had a mostly disastrous night. Even though NCIS: New Orleans was up, NCIS slipped three tenths to a new series low and Bull slipped two tenths to a low. Fox had another mix of repeats and originals, and Prison Break slipped another two tenths, now down quite a bit from the season premiere. The CW also mixed repeats and originals, with iZombie and a Flash repeat both at 0.3.
