Prime Video has renewed their new teen drama Sterling Point for a second season. The eight-episode first season of Sterling Point was released on August 5, 2026, and peaked at #1 on Prime Video's Top 10 chart. The series debuted at #2 before rising to #1, where it remained for five days before dipping back down to #2.
While The TV Ratings Guide's preseason prediction was that Sterling Point would be canceled and only achieve a medium amount of success despite an anticipated #1 peak, the renewal is a no-brainer when looking at its viewership data and Attention Score.
Sterling Point garnered over 933 million minutes viewed between August 7 and August 13 per Variety, which makes it the second-most-viewed streaming original of that week. It also had 181.5 million minutes viewed over the course of its first two days of availability. It came in only behind Netflix's My Life with the Walter Boys (1.3 billion minutes viewed), both of which handily surpassed Apple TV's Ted Lasso (441 million minutes viewed).
Sterling Point currently holds a 30.3 Attention Score per Television Stats, which is the second-highest among Prime Video series and seventh-highest among all series. Its Attention Score peaked at a 62.9 on August 9, and had the highest score of all TV shows two days after its premiere.
