Thursday TV Ratings 11/9/23: Big Brother Surges for Finale, Bachelor in Paradise Rises, The Golden Bachelor and LEGO Masters Down (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: On finale night, CBS's Big Brother (0.70, +0.19) surged to its highest rating in a while and nearly grew by two-tenths of a point in the process. Despite that sizable growth, SEAL Team (0.14) retained a laughable 20% of the Brother rating and was lower than it was a week ago. The Golden Bachelor (0.54, -0.04) dipped on ABC, but Bachelor in Paradise (0.34, +0.02) inched up in the 9 p.m. time slot. NBC's Transplant (0.20, +0.04) improved but was still below the reruns of Law & Order (0.25) and Dateline (0.25) that sandwiched it. Fox programs Hell's Kitchen (0.36, -0.02) and LEGO Masters (0.23, -0.06) lost some ground. Son of a Critch (0.05, +0.01) and Everyone Else Burns (0.03, +0.02) were up on the CW. Run the Burbs (0.03, 0.00) held flat in the 8:30 p.m. time slot, while Children Ruin Everything (0.02, -0.01) got a little weaker. 

Finals Update: Big Brother (+0.1) adjusted up. Bachelor in Paradise (-0.1) and LEGO Masters (-0.2) adjusted down.

Monday TV Ratings 10/9/23: The Irrational Inches Up as The Voice Dips, Monday Night Football Easily Leads (Final Ratings)

Ratings Analysis: After declining a bit in week two, new drama 'The Irrational' (0.31, +0.02) grew by two-hundredths on NBC, even as 'The Voice' (0.55, -0.04) dropped from last Monday's episode. ABC's 'Packers v. Raiders' NFL game (1.79) easily topped the night and was a few ticks above the week-ago 'Seahawks v. Giants' (1.73). 'The Price Is Right At Night' (0.40, +0.04) climbed higher on CBS, but 'Loteria Loca' (0.22, -0.01) shed a hundredth from its premiere. The 10 p.m. repeat of 'NCIS' (0.18) doubled last week's feeble showing. 'Kitchen Nightmares' (0.28, -0.01) and 'Special Forces: World's Toughest Test' (0.24, -0.03) slipped some more on Fox. 'Son of a Critch' (0.04, +0.01) picked up a hundredth for its CW finale, but 'Run the Burbs' (0.02/0.03) failed to rise. 'Children Ruin Everything' was steady at 0.03.

Monday TV Ratings 10/2/23: Lotería Loca Premiere Flops, The Irrational Down In Week 2 (Final Ratings)

Ratings Analysis: New game show 'Loteria Loca' (0.23) disappointed for its CBS premiere and went significantly lower than the episode of 'The Price Is Right At Night' (0.36) that led into it. In the 10 p.m. hour, a rerun of 'NCIS' (0.09) found itself at CW levels. On NBC, 'The Voice' (0.59, -0.01) and 'The Irrational' (0.29, -0.05) were both down from last Monday's premieres. Fox programs 'Kitchen Nightmares' (0.29, -0.06) and 'Special Forces: World's Toughest Test' (0.27, -0.06) lost six-hundredths apiece. The 'Seahawks v. Giants' NFL game (1.73) was more than 50% below the week-ago 'Eagles v. Buccaneers' (3.88) on ABC. 'Son of a Critch' (0.03, -0.03) crumbled on the CW. 'Run the Burbs' (0.03, 0.00), 'Children Ruin Everything' (0.03, 0.00), and the 'Whose Line' repeat (0.03) held even. 

Premiere Monday TV Ratings 9/25/23: The Irrational and Kitchen Nightmares Have Decent Starts, The Voice Slightly Down from Spring Premiere (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC drama 'The Irrational' (0.34) got off to a passable start on series debut night, retaining more than half of 'The Voice' (0.60) on this first evening. 'The Voice' itself was about a tenth lower than its spring premiere (0.69) but remained in solid shape nonetheless. On Fox, 'Kitchen Nightmares' (0.35) and 'Special Forces: World's Toughest Test' (0.33) both looked quite solid for their premieres. 'Special Forces' in particular was up by two-hundredths from its March finale (0.31). On ABC, the 'Eagles v. Buccaneers' NFL game (3.88) was about three-tenths lower than last week's 'Brown v. Steelers' (4.16). On the CW, 'Son of a Critch' (0.06, +0.02) grew, 'Run the Burbs' (0.03, -0.01) dipped, and 'Children Ruin Everything' (0.03, 0.00) held steady. The 9:30 p.m. 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' rerun (0.03) was on par with 'Burbs' and 'Children'. CBS re-ran 'NCIS' (0.22/0.18/0.18).

Monday TV Ratings 9/18/23: Academy of Country Music Honors Weak, American Ninja Warrior Special Decent, NFL Jumps (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: The 'Browns v. Steelers' NFL game (4.16) impressed on ABC by going more than a full point higher than the week-ago 'Bills v. Jets' match-up (2.41) in the Adults 18-49 demographic. On NBC, an 'American Ninja Warrior: Couple's Special' (0.27) was four-hundredths lower than last week's 'Warrior' finale but still topped all non-football offerings. The 10 p.m. hour was occupied by a rerun of 'Weakest Link' (0.16). Fox's broadcast of the 'Academy of Country Music Honors' (0.15) attracted very little fanfare. 'Son of a Critch' (0.04, -0.01) and 'Children Ruin Everything' (0.03, -0.02) slipped on the CW, but 'Run the Burbs' (0.04, +0.02) grew by two-hundredths. The 9:30 p.m. 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' repeat (0.03) was a hundredth short of last week's. CBS went with more encores of 'The Neighborhood' (0.25), 'Bob Hearts Abishola' (0.19), 'NCIS: Hawai'i' (0.13), and 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.12).
