Rebel is without a cause and a network. ABC has canceled the freshman series Rebel after a single season season. It debuted in early April and has averaged just 0.46 in the few episodes it has aired thus far. Despite airing behind Grey's Anatomy, it was still of the lowest-rated shows on ABC. The show is created by Krista Vernoff, showrunner of ABC's #1 and #2 shows (Grey's Anatomy and Station 19, respectively), which boosted odds of the show returning. In the end, that wasn't enough to save the series, which will end its run in June after only ten episodes. Katey Sagal, John Corbett, Any Garcia, Tamala Jones, Lex Scott Davis and James Lesure starred in the series, which was based on the life of Erin Brockovich.

Rebel Ordered to Series by ABC
Rebel has been ordered to series by ABC. The legal drama centers on Annie "Rebel" Bello, a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree. This funny, messy, brilliant and fearless woman cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves. When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost. It is based on the life of Erin Brockovich, and Brockovich is attached as a producer. Katey Sagal is signed on to star alongside Andy Garcia, John Corbett, James Lesure, Tamala Jones, Lex Scott Davis and Ariela Barer.
