AP Bio Renewed by Upcoming NBC Streaming Service

NBC's upcoming streaming service has renewed comedy AP Bio for a third season. The show struggled in the ratings on NBC, averaging a 0.47 in A18-49 Live+Same Day for its second season. It has a creative team behind it that includes SNL's Lorne Michaels and Late Night's Seth Meyers that probably helped it get renewed, and the cancelation saw many vocal fans on Twitter.

The school-set comedy features It's Always Sunny's Glenn Howerton, Patton Oswalt, Paula Pell, and Alisyn Ashley Arm in key roles.

AP Bio Canceled After Two Seasons

NBC has canceled comedy AP Bio after two seasons. The show has drawn very low ratings all season, but has a creative team behind it that includes SNL's Lorne Michaels and Late Night's Seth Meyers. Michaels and Meyers were enough to save it last season, but not this time. The show was pretty steady this season, only once deviating from a 0.5, though that was still too low to justify giving it another chance. The school-set comedy features It's Always Sunny's Glenn Howerton, Patton Oswalt, Paula Pell, and Alisyn Ashley Arm in key roles. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

A.P. Bio Ordered to Series by NBC

NBC has ordered comedy A.P. Bio to series. The series follows "a philosophy scholar who loses out on his dream job and goes to work as a high school Advanced Placement biology teacher but he makes it clear he will not be teaching any biology. Realizing he has a room full of honor roll students at his disposal, he decides instead to use the kids to his own benefit" (Deadline). It stars Glenn Howerton (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia), and created by Mike O'Brien (Saturday Night Live).
