High Potential Renewed by ABC

High Potential continues to live up to its name. The freshman procedural series has been renewed for a second season by ABC, just hours after the Alphabet Network ordered a fifth season of fellow multiplatform phenomenon Abbott Elementary. High Potential has been an excellent performer for ABC. In addition to a recent surge in linear ratings that's seen the show hitting new heights, it also currently ranks as TV's #1 entertainment program in L+7 multiplatform ratings, with a impressive 2.34 average in the key 18-49 demo, as well as being the third most-watched series in L+7, trailing just Tracker and Matlock. The first season of the series had a short, thirteen-episode order in part due to star Kaitlin Olson's busy schedule, with the actress also appearing in a starring role in FXX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and a recurring, Emmy-nominated role on Max's Hacks. An episode order for the just-ordered second season has yet to be determined, but is expected to be larger than the first season. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
