Shadowhunters is about to go off into the shadows, never to return. After three series, the cult favorite has been canceled by Freeform. This comes as a bit of a surprise considering that the series is on the high-end of the Freeform slate, ratings-wise. However, that isn't saying much, as the series averages just a 0.15 for the current season, down a staggering 40% from season two. The series will end in 2019 with a two-hour movie, similar treatment to the long-running series The Fosters, which is currently airing its own three-part finale.
