Friday TV Ratings 4/8/22: Undercover Boss Up For Finale, Shark Tank and 20/20 Inch Down, Dateline Rises (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: CBS's 'Undercover Boss' (0.31, +0.02) picked up two-hundredths for its season finale but remained a rather uncompetitive offering. Dramas 'Magnum PI' (0.40, +0.02) and 'Blue Bloods' (0.41, +0.01) inched up alongside 'Boss' at 9 and 10 respectively. On NBC, 'The Blacklist' (0.25, +0.03) and 'Dateline' (0.40, +0.07) enjoyed larger gains than the CBS programs. 'Shark Tank' (0.49, -0.01) and '20/20' (0.34, -0.02) inched down on ABC. Fox's 'WWE Smackdown' (0.60, -0.01) also ticked down but was still the highest-rated broadcast of the evening. 'Charmed' (0.06, -0.01) shed a hundredth as 'Dynasty' (0.04, +0.02) grew by two-hundredths on the CW.

Friday TV Ratings 4/1/22: Undercover Boss and Blue Bloods Down After Break, Shark Tank Ticks Up, WWE SmackDown Surges (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: After tying with it last week, Fox's 'WWE Smackdown' (0.61, +0.12) pulled far ahead of ABC's 'Shark Tank' (0.50, +0.01) and topped the night for the first time in nearly a month. 'Tank' gained a hundredth on the alphabet network, as did the 9PM edition of '20/20' (0.36, +0.01). Airing for the first time since March 11th, 'Undercover Boss' (0.29, -0.07), 'Magnum PI' (0.38, -0.03), and 'Blue Bloods' (0.40, -0.06) fell by multiple hundredths on CBS. NBC's 'The Blacklist' (0.22, -0.02) slipped and tied its series low, but 'Dateline' (0.33, +0.06) enjoyed a healthy surge at 9. On the CW, 'Charmed' (0.07, +0.03) gained three-hundredths as 'Dynasty' (0.02, -0.01) found a new low.

Friday TV Ratings 3/11/22: 20/20 Rises, Charmed and Dynasty Return Low, Dateline Slips (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Fox's 'WWE Smackdown' (0.57, -0.02) lost two-hundredths but managed to best the 8PM episode of 'Shark Tank' (0.55), resulting in 'Smackdown' topping its third Friday in a row. ABC's '20/20' (0.49, +0.10) retained most of the 'Shark Tank' audience and completely trounced NBC's 'Dateline' (0.27, -0.10). The peacock network had even less luck with a showing of the '2022 Winter Paralympics' (0.19) and a 10PM rerun of 'The Thing About Pam' (0.25). 'Undercover Boss' (0.36, -0.05) lost some ground on CBS, but 'Magnum PI' (0.41, +0.06) and 'Blue Bloods' (0.46, +0.03) picked up the slack from there. CW dramas 'Charmed' (0.07) and 'Dynasty' (0.05, -0.01) were in middling shape for their respective returns.

Friday TV Ratings 3/4/22: Putin’s War: The Battle to Save Ukraine Rates Below Average Shark Tank, Magnum PI and Blue Bloods Slip, The Blacklist Inches Up (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: ABC's 'Putin's War: The Battle to Save Ukraine' special (0.48) got decent traction in the 8PM timeslot but fell a few hundredths short of the week-ago 'Shark Tank' episode (0.55). The 9PM '20/20' (0.39) was eight-hundredths below last week's installment. Though ABC put up quite a fight, Fox's WWE Smackdown' (0.59, +0.02) topped the evening for the second week in a row. On CBS, 'Undercover Boss' (0.41, +0.02) picked up two-hundredths, but 'Magnum PI' (0.35, -0.08) and 'Blue Bloods' (0.43, -0.04) both took a hit. 'The Blacklist' (0.31, +0.03) and 'Dateline' (0.37, +0.06) gained some steam on NBC. The CW's 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us' (0.10) held steady for its finale and was followed by encores of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.07/0.09).

Friday TV Ratings 2/25/22: Shark Tank Down After Hiatus, The Blacklist Hits Season Low in Friday Return, WWE SmackDown Tops the Night (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: ABC's 'Shark Tank' (0.55, -0.01) shed a hundredth for its first episode in a month and lead-out '20/20' (0.47) retained a solid portion of that rating. 'WWE Smackdown' (0.57, +0.03) gained three-hundredths on Fox and topped the evening altogether. On NBC, 'The Blacklist' (0.28, -0.13) crashed to a season low for its Friday debut. Airing after a low-rated rerun of 'The Endgame' (0.18), 'Dateline' (0.31, -0.18) declined dramatically in the 10PM hour. CBS's 'Undercover Boss' (0.39, +0.06) picked up six-hundredths while 'Magnum PI' (0.43, -0.02) lost two. 'Blue Bloods' (0.47) was completely steady at 10. On the CW, 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us' (0.10, +0.03) grew by three-hundredths and led into repeats of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.07/0.07).
