FOX to Redevelop No Apologies

FOX has decided not to order drama pilot No Apologies to series. The series will instead be redeveloped.

Mrs. Otis Regrets is a FBI thriller starring Katie Holmes of Dawson's Creek. It is created by The L Word co-creator Ilene Chaiken and Rosewood writer Melissa Scrivner Love.

The logline for the pilot, from Deadline: "FBI Special Agent Clementine Otis is in the midst of investigating a domestic terrorism threat when a personal indiscretion – an affair with a prominent general – shatters her life and threatens her career at the FBI. Now labeled “the mistress,” Clementine Otis – wife, mother, patriot – begins to rebuild her personal life and professional reputation." 20th Century FOX produces the project.

FOX Orders Proven Innocent to Series

FOX has given a series order to drama pilot "Proven Innocent" (FKA Infamy).

Proven Innocent "focuses on a wrongful conviction firm led by a fierce and fearless female lawyer with a hunger for justice. The team reopens investigations, putting their own lives in danger to exonerate the innocent that were “proven” guilty. The leader’s motivation comes from her infamous past; as a young adult she was found guilty and later exonerated in a high-profile case in which she became a tabloid sensation, household name and national celebrity.  While a hero and a victim to some, her bold and bullish tactics garner her some enemies— one of whom will do anything to see her go down for a crime we know she did not commit. She defends others as she fights to maintain her own innocence" (logline from Deadline).

The legal procedural stars Rachelle Lefevre, who previously starred on CBS summer drama Under the Dome. 20th Century FOX produces the series.

FOX Passes on Drama Pilot "Gone Baby Gone"

FOX has decided not to order to series Gone Baby Gone...


Gone, Baby, Gone is a police procedural based on the novel Gone Baby Gone by Dennis Lehane, which has also been adapted into a film. It stars Joseph Morgan of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals and Peyton List, who recurred on Mad Men, and starred in short-lived dramas Frequency, The Tomorrow People, and FlashForward. It was developed by Robert Levine, who created Starz drama Black Sails. The logline for the pilot, from Deadline: "Armed with their wits, street knowledge and an undeniable chemistry, private detectives Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro right wrongs that the law can’t in the working-class Boston borough of Dorchester." 20th Century FOX produces the project.

FOX Orders The Passage to Series

FOX has given a series order to drama pilot The Passage.

The Passage is a fantasy series based on a novel trilogy written by Justin Cronin. It was initially developed for FOX a year ago, but was pushed, initially for midseason 2018 consideration, then to consideration for the 2018-19 season when new footage needed to be shot. It was developed for series by Liz Heldens, who previously created one-season NBC dramas Camp, Deception, and Mercy.

The logline for the series, from Deadline: "What begins as a character-driven government conspiracy thriller morphs into a post-apocalyptic saga with vampires. The series spans over a century and focuses on a young girl named Amy who must save the human race." 20th Century FOX produces the series.
