All American: All season long last season, I have grappled with its prediction, leading to a miss. Now this season, I may be going for broke by immediately predicting likely renewal for a show that averaged a 0.2 A18-49 rating all season long. The new rule of thumb is that all non-rookie shows are pretty much likely to near certain renewals on the CW. If a rookie gets renewed, then it essentially gets renewed until the CW decides to pull the plug with a renanceling treatment, even if that show starts pulling a 0.0 (looking at you, Dynasty! Just because you are certain to be renewed and you're CBS produced doesn't mean we won't watch ratings). Hopefully, just maybe, All American gets that Netflix bump in the ratings like Riverdale did. Either way, I am probably not wrong in predicting this.
