The news comes as ABC prepares to end veteran sitcom The Conners next season, meaning that, barring unexpected scheduling for the final season of The Conners, Abbott Elementary will be the network's only veteran sitcom as they head into 2025. It was said to have performed very well on streaming, however, which certainly eased its path to renewal.
