In one of this year's most obvious decisions, NBC announced today that Bluff City Law will not back for a second season, cancelling the show after a single season. The legal drama debuted this fall to mediocre numbers and sunk as low as 0.5. Despite that, it was still the #1 new show on NBC this season, edging out the competition by nearly a full tenth. The most clear sign of the show's demise was NBC deciding against ordering any additional episodes of the series despite previously ordering six more scripts. Bluff City Law starred Jimmy Smits, Caitlin McGee, Jayne Atkinson, Barry Sloane and Stony Blyden. This was a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
