Monday TV Ratings 9/6/21: Bachelor in Paradise Rises from Tuesday, American Ninja Warrior and Hell’s Kitchen Slip, The Republic of Sarah Ends Steady (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: Compared to last Monday, ABC's 'Bachelor in Paradise' (0.8) dropped a tenth but 'The Ultimate Surfer' (0.3) held flat at its usual, meager level. Fox held down second place with 'Hell's Kitchen' (0.5), even though the Gordon Ramsay series shed a tenth. NBC was in freefall as both 'American Ninja Warrior' (0.4) and 'The Wall' (0.3) lost one-tenth apiece. CBS was in rerun mode with 'The Neighborhood' (0.3), 'Bob Hearts Abishola' (0.2), 'NCIS' (0.2), and 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.2). On the CW, 'The Republic of Sarah' (0.0) bowed out with zero fanfare for its series finale. 'Roswell, New Mexico' (0.1) was steady in the 8pm slot.

Finals Update: Bachelor in Paradise (+0.1) and American Ninja Warrior (+0.1) adjusted up.

Summer Renew/Cancel Week 13: Making It May Make It to Season 4

This week on the Summer Renew/Cancel, NBC's reality shows take center stage. Keep reading for my thoughts on the recently-wrapped Making It and the freshman Family Game Fight!

The Republic of Sarah Canceled by The CW

The Republic of Sarah is going where few CW shows go: the TV graveyard. The political drama series has been canceled by The CW, as confirmed by one of the show's stars, Luke Mitchell. Though it has an excuse of airing fully in the summer, the show has been the lowest-rated show on The CW this season with a 0.05 average, tied with Dynasty. It was one of four new series picks up by the network this season and the only one to not premiere in-season, a sign that it was a low-priority show for the CW all along. Its series finale will air next week. Sarah Baker, Hope Lauren, Nia Holloway, Ian Duff, Forrest Goodluck, Landry Bender, Megan Follows and Izabella Alvarez also star in the series alongside Mitchell. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

Monday TV Ratings 8/30/21: Duncanville Ends Steady while HouseBroken Finale Rises, Bachelor in Paradise Slips but Stays #1 (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Monday night champion 'Bachelor in Paradise' (0.91) extended its reign but lost a tenth when compared to last week's episode. ABC followed that up with another awful showing from 'The Ultimate Surfer' (0.30). Though 'Surfer' only lost four hundredths on a week-to-week basis, it continued to retain less than a third of its lead-in. It was season finale night over on Fox as struggling animated sitcoms 'HouseBroken' (0.24) and 'Duncanville' (0.19) bowed out with relative stability. At 8, 'Hell's Kitchen' (0.61) remained at a 0.6 rating. NBC's 'American Ninja Warrior' (0.54) picked up a tenth while 'The Wall' (0.42) held steady. On the CW, 'Roswell, New Mexico' (0.09) and 'Republic of Sarah' (0.04) gained one-hundredth apiece. Amidst all the originals, CBS was entirely in repeat-mode (0.37/0.30/0.28/0.25/0.23).

Finals Update: The 'HouseBroken' finale (-0.1) adjusted down.
