A day after the renewal of Abbott Elementary, ABC had picked up additional seasons of three of their drama series. Freshman drama 9-1-1: Nashville has been renewed for a second season, while breakout sophomore drama High Potential has been renewed for a third season, and 9-1-1 will be back for a landmark tenth season - its fourth on ABC. All three series have performed well for ABC, particularly High Potential, which is one of the highest-rated series on all of television in multiplatform ratings, and has been since its debut. It currently boasts an average of 12.7 million viewers and 2.4 in the key 18-49 demo in the MP+7 metric this season, making it the highest-rated series on broadcast TV in the demo and the second most-watched show in total viewers. While 9-1-1 has cooled off this season in all regards, its remains a solid anchor of Thursday nights, with a 0.33 L+SD average this season and a 1.4 rating in the MP+7 metric. 9-1-1: Nashville is the weakest of the renewed trio, with a 1.1 in the MP+7 and a more modest 0.25 L+SD rating, though it has been an improvement on Doctor Odyssey, and is the latest spinoff in an important Disney brand, easing its renewal. Kaitlin Olson leads the cast of High Potential, while Angela Bassett, Kenneth Choi, and Oliver Stark are among the stars of 9-1-1 and Chris O'Donnell, Jessica Capshaew and Kimberly Williams-Paisley head the ensemble of 9-1-1: Nashville.
