Heathers: There's a lot of things that may remain unsaid about the lowest rated show on Paramount's lineup. But a 0.05 and a 0.03 in the key demographic, as well as burnoff scheduling on consecutive nights does not signal confidence in the show. Ratings at this level is what got now canceled Nobodies pulled from the Paramount schedule and moved back to TV Land. Plus, with all the scripted development ramping up at Paramount since Yellowstone's success and Younger's move to the network from TV Land, there definitely is no room for the reboot. In addition, this was a show that Paramount scrapped plus tried to get buyers for before it inexplicably ended up returning due to the school shootings that happened earlier this year. With that being said, Heathers is certain to be canceled, and there's no salvation for it either.

Ink Master: Three weeks of solid ratings keeps the show at a certain renewal status. There is no way Paramount would cancel it at its current levels.

That does not bring concern for the show itself as it is still one of the top 3 shows on the network. That is enough for "certain renewal".

Younger: The show will move to Paramount Network for the upcoming season as part of the new Thursday night dramedy lineup. See the TV Land table for more details.

Teachers: Since we last left Teachers, we first had it leaning towards renewal, then leaning towards cancelation. This installment, it is becoming clear that renewal is increasingly unlikely. Since previous TV Land development moved to Paramount Network and that Viacom is focusing on Paramount for scripted shows, it looks like TV Land is getting out of the original show business, which means Younger could very well be either looking at a final season on TV Land, or moving to Paramount Network for season six and beyond. Teachers is now likely to be canceled.

Cable Renew/Cancel: Paramount, TV Land, FXX - Lip Sync Battle Falls Off the Wagon

Welcome to the latest installment of Cable Renew/Cancel for Paramount Network, TV Land, and FXX. We may have forgotten Cops' prediction for Paramount Network, so we are getting to it in this installment.

Lip Sync Battle: Whatever happened to Lip Sync Battle? Ratings were fine back in March, but when it came back in June, it collapsed to ratings levels that scripted show American Woman is pulling. Mind you, I still think the show will get renewed for a hypothetical final season, but I think the chances are becoming less likely. In that context, American Woman does not look as bad. So Lip Sync Battle is simply downgraded to the leans renewal category.

COPS: Nobody noticed that long running series COPS returned back in June, but it has been holding at a 0.13 A18-49 rating for the past few weeks. But because it is an unscripted show and likely cheaper to produce, it starts out in likely renewal territory. It also is currently the fifth highest rated show on Paramount, but that doesn't seem like much of an accomplishment. When every show is pulling tepid ratings except for Bar Rescue, Ink Master, and Yellowstone, it's the fault of the network itself rather than the show.

Ink Master: Angels: Since the middle of the road performers are in the 0.1s range, an upgrade for the Ink Master spinoff is overdue. The only other shows that are higher rated than it currently are Bar Rescue and recently renewed and wrapped up Ink Master, and Paramount (when it was called Spike) usually renews third place unscripted shows. So the spinoff is now likely to be renewed.
