East New York Canceled After One Season by CBS

The Ratings Junkie
CBS has canceled East New York after just one season. The Sunday drama was CBS’s second-highest-rated new scripted series this season in the Live + Same Day Adults 18-49 demo, behind Fire Country but ahead of So Help Me Todd. It is also the second-highest-rated new drama across all of broadcast television.
East New York is not owned by Paramount, and ownership of a series has become increasingly important as Live + Same Day ratings decrease across the board. Additionally, East Nw York saw a steep ratings decline this spring without the help of the late afternoon NFL game, putting its future into question. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
