Weekly Analysis

On Monday, Blindspot premiered to a 3.1 rating, following the 3.5 rating for Monday's edition of The Voice. This rating blew away many people's expectations and warrants a likely renewal.

On Wednesday, The Mysteries of Laura led off the night with a 1.2 rating. As I have said previously, the only reason Laura is on the fall schedule is because it was intended to be NBC's sacrifice to Empire. However, to much surprise, FOX ended up keeping Empire at 9:00. With that being said, The Mysteries of Laura is now useless to NBC and will not being seeing the 2016-2017 season. Law & Order: SVU premiered to a respectable 1.8 rating, even with a two-hour premiere and heavy competition from the juggernaut known as Empire. SVU is still going strong and will certainly see next season.

On Thursday, Heroes Reborn started the night with a mediocre 2.0 rating. For NBC Thursdays, this rating is actually outstanding. Next week's number will help me put it in the "renewed" or "canceled" section. For now, Heroes Reborn is on the bubble. In other news, The Player premiered to a 1.2 rating. I don't know if anything will change next week when it has a more compatible lead-in from The Blacklist, but The Player is most likely DOA.

Let me know what your predictions are in the comments below! Also, what do you think the premiere ratings of Chicago P.D. and The Blacklist will be this week? Let me know in the comments! See you guys next Sunday!
