Sunday TV Ratings 2/8/26: Super Bowl Slightly Down from 2025, Winter Olympics Dip from 2022 Post-Super Bowl Rating, Puppy Bowl Draws Highest Audience Since 2018 [+ Analysis]

On NBC, Super Bowl LX posted a 36.74 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic, marking a 3% dip from 2025 (37.92). Later in the night, the Winter Olympics (4.5) enjoyed a sizable boost. Over on ABC, repeats of America's Funniest Home Videos (0.09/0.10) and American Idol (0.11) served as viewing options for those uninterested in the game. CBS aired encores of 60 Minutes (0.09), Tracker (0.09), Sheriff Country (0.06), and Watson (0.05). Fox went with reruns of Next Level Chef (0.05), The Simpsons (0.07), Universal Basic Guys (0.07/0.05), and Krapopolis (0.05). Ratings Analysis: Super Bowl LIX proved to be the most-viewed iteration yet, with the Fox broadcast taking in over 125 million total viewers. In the Adults 18-49 demographic, the broadcast posted a 37.92 rating, a 5% uptick from last year (35.99). After the post-game, Fox aired the season premiere of The Floor (3.70), but it ended up being the lowest-rated Super Bowl lead-out ever, even below last year's Tracker (3.94). As usual, the other networks backed away from airing originals. ABC went with reruns of Celebrity Jeopardy! (0.06/0.08/0.08/0.11). NBC aired a Deal or No Deal Island encore (0.04) and the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (0.11). CBS offered up repeats of 60 Minutes (0.09), Tracker (0.08/0.11), and Watson (0.08). Ratings Analysis: Over 120 million people tuned in for Super Bowl LVIII, making it the most-watched NFL telecast ever. In the Adults 18-49 demographic, the Super Bowl managed a 35.99 rating, up by nearly 7% from last year (33.78). After the game, CBS tried to get some eyeballs on the series debut of new drama Tracker (3.94) but most had already turned off the TV by the time it came on. ABC re-ran AFV (0.07/0.14) and Celebrity Jeopardy! (0.07/0.06), while NBC aired encores of Fantasy League (0.07) and Dateline (0.10). Fox went with repeats of Next Level Chef (0.03), The Simpsons (0.07), Krapopolis (0.06), Bob's Burgers (0.07), and Family Guy (0.08). The CW aired Penn & Teller reruns (0.01/0.02/0.03).
