Tuesday TV Ratings 8/2/22: Family Game Fight! Modest Behind Dropping America’s Got Talent, Tom Swift Stays Low for Series Finale (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC's 'Family Game Fight!' (0.32) made an unremarkable return to TV, losing more than half of its 'America's Got Talent' lead-in (0.67, -0.10) and coming in a tenth lower than its finale from September 2021 (0.42). CW drama 'Tom Swift' (0.03, -0.02) crumbled on series finale night but at least matched the 'Superman & Lois' repeat (0.03) that led into it. ABC's 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' rerun (0.37) bested CBS's 'FBI' one (0.36) head-on, but the alphabet network's encores of 'Generation Gap' (0.24) and 'Celebrity Family Feud' (0.22) were no match for the Tiffany network's 'FBI: International' (0.31) and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.30) repeats. Fox was uncompetitive with encores of 'Crime Scene Kitchen' (0.16) and 'Fantasy Island' (0.11). 

Finals Update: 'America's Got Talent' (+0.1) adjusted up, as did repeats of 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' (+0.1), 'FBI' (+0.1), and 'Crime Scene Kitchen' (+0.1).

Tuesday TV Ratings 7/26/22: Snake in the Grass Preview Middling, America’s Got Talent Rises, CBS Takes Second with FBI Franchise Repeats (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC's 'America's Got Talent' (0.77, +0.14) had a massive rebound after last week's middling performance, placing it well above the other networks. At 10, a preview of new series 'Snake in the Grass' (0.34) retained an unsatisfactory 44% of 'Talent' and was barely stronger than reruns on ABC and CBS. On ABC, reruns of 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' (0.35) and 'Celebrity Family Feud' (0.32) performed noticeably better than the 9PM encore of 'Generation Gap' (0.27). CBS went with similar-sized repeats of 'FBI' (0.30), 'FBI: International' (0.27), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.27). Fox encores of 'Crime Scene Kitchen' (0.19) and 'Fantasy Island' (0.12) could not hold a candle against the big three networks. The CW's 'Tom Swift' (0.05, +0.01) picked up a hundredth and matched the 8PM repeat of 'Superman & Lois' (0.05).

Tuesday TV Ratings 7/19/22: MLB All-Star Game Down from 2021, Dancing With Myself Finale and America’s Got Talent Drop (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC juggernaut 'America's Got Talent' (0.63, -0.10) dropped by a full tenth and set a new season low in the process. The season finale of 'Dancing with Myself' (0.33, -0.06) declined alongside 'Talent', but the series managed to avoid a new low on finale night. On Fox, the '2022 MLB All-Star Game' (1.55) dipped by a little more than 15% from the 2021 game (1.84) but still stood above every other broadcast of the evening. The CW's 'Tom Swift' (0.04, +0.02) rebounded a touch after last week's fall, likely because the 'Superman & Lois' rerun (0.05) that led into it was three-hundredths higher than it was seven days prior. ABC was all over the place with repeats of 'Celebrity Family Feud' (0.35), 'Judge Steve Harvey' (0.21), and 'The Rookie' (0.14). CBS had far more stability with encores of 'FBI' (0.22), 'FBI: International' (0.21), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.24).

Tuesday TV Ratings 7/12/22: Holey Moley Ends Slightly Up, America’s Got Talent and Dancing with Myself Rise, The Chase Dips (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: ABC's 'Holey Moley' (0.40, +0.02) closed out its fourth season by gaining two-hundredths and registering as the second highest-rated program of the evening. On the other hand, 'The Chase' (0.35, -0.01) and the 'Who Do You Believe?' finale (0.21, -0.02) dipped ever so slightly. NBC offerings 'America's Got Talent' (0.73, +0.09) and 'Dancing With Myself' (0.39, +0.09) each rose by a whopping nine-hundredths, thus posting their strongest ratings since early June. CBS once again aired reruns of 'FBI' (0.33), 'FBI: International' (0.30), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.31). Fox was lower than average with encores of 'Crime Scene Kitchen' (0.18) and 'Fantasy Island' (0.11). Canceled drama 'Tom Swift' (0.02, -0.02) plummeted to a new series low and tied the 'Superman & Lois' repeat (0.02) that led into it.

Tuesday TV Ratings 7/5/22: Dancing With Myself Stumbles, Americas Got Talent Stable, The Chase Rises, Tom Swift Ticks Down After Cancellation (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC staple 'America's Got Talent' (0.64, 0.00) maintained its title as Tuesday's top broadcast, but 'Dancing With Myself' (0.30, -0.06) dropped by six-hundredths in the 10PM hour. On ABC, 'Holey Moley' (0.38, +0.02), 'The Chase' (0.36, +0.06), and 'Who Do You Believe?' (0.23, +0.01) all rose from their previous originals. 'The Chase' posted the strongest gain of the three and jumped to its highest rating since mid-February. CBS aired its usual rerun trio, consisting of 'FBI' (0.35), 'FBI: International' (0.27), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.28). Fox's 'Crime Scene Kitchen' encore (0.21) tied last week's repeat and a rerun of 'Fantasy Island' (0.17) was a slight improvement over the week-ago 'I Can See Your Voice' encore (0.15). The CW's 'Tom Swift' (0.04, -0.01) shed a hundredth for its first episode after being canceled. It was beaten out by the 'Superman & Lois' rerun (0.05) that preceded it.
