Sunday TV Ratings 12/10/23: A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip Hop Strong for CBS, MasterChef Junior: Home for the Holidays Modest, Sunday Night Football Rises (UPDATED w/Analysis)

Ratings Analysis: A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip Hop (0.58) was solid enough for CBS but got some major help from an NFL-boosted 60 Minutes (1.25, +0.81). Fox gave the cartoons a rest for the night and instead went with MasterChef Junior: Home for the Holidays (0.25). Junior probably did a little better than what the cartoons would have done here, but the difference was not meaningful enough. Fox might have taken cartoons off the menu, but ABC had plenty of them in the form of Mickey Saves Christmas (0.21), Olaf's Frozen Adventure (0.19), and the original Frozen film (0.24). At 10, The Great Christmas Light Fight (0.17, -0.07) collapsed. On NBC, the Eagles v. Cowboys football game posted a massive 6.13 rating and improved on last week's Chiefs v. Packers match (5.72) by four-tenths. The Chosen (0.04, +0.02) chose to rise on the CW.

Finals Update: The Great Christmas Light Fight (+0.1), NFL Overrun (+1.1), and NFL: Eagles v. Cowboys (+1.1) adjusted up. Football Night in America (-0.8), 60 Minutes (-1.2), and repeats of The Equalizer (-0.1) and LEGO Masters (-0.2) adjusted down.
