The second Monday night of the season sees the series premieres of two new series, CBS's 9JKL and Fox's The Gifted. The two won't go head-to-head, with 9JKL at 8:30 and The Gifted at 9.
9JKL, Mondays at 8:30 on CBS
The first premiere of the night, 9JKL will receive the ginormous Big Bang Theory for its early weeks. The Mark Feuerstein, Linda Lavin, and Elliott Gould-led comedy is one of two new CBS comedies on the Monday lineup, joining Me, Myself & I. Last week, CBS had the special premiere of Young Sheldon in the 8:30 slot, and that show started enormously with a 3.8. Will 9JKL be able to come within a mile of that or will 0.9JKL be a more accurate title?
The Gifted, Mondays at 9 on Fox
The second premiere of the night, The Gifted is in a trickier situation. This series will receive the mediocrely-rated Lucifer as its lead-in. The show is a Marvel property, so it should be able to draw some initial interest. Will it be 'gifted' with strong ratings or will if get a lump of coal in place of solid ratings?
