First Week Peak: Predictions for VisionQuest, Tulsa King, Hollywood Arts, 9-1-1, and More

The Ratings Junkie Sunday, October 11, 2026

Welcome to First Week Peak, a column which discusses shows that are about to premiere on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Paramount+, HBO Max, Peacock, Hulu, and/or Apple TV. Each discussion concludes with a prediction for the show's weekly peak performance on their respective streaming service's U.S. trending chart, including a reader poll. All Attention Scores come from Television Stats as of October 10, 2026. Final results can be found in our weekly What's Trending On Streaming column. Let us know what you think in the comments!

Streaming Premieres

Disney+, Peacock, Paramount+, Prime Video, Netflix, and Hulu all have shows either premiering or returning this coming week. Of these, WandaVision spinoff VisionQuest has the highest Attention Score with a 13.5 score. Additionally, Peacock's upcoming drama Crystal Lake has already gone as high as an 18.8 score, and the Season 3 Part 1 trailer for adult animated comedy Helluva Boss (its first on Prime Video), has 1.5 million views on YouTube. As such, all three are predicted to see a #1 debut.

Also predicted to debut at #1 are the returns of Tulsa King on Paramount+, The Diplomat on Netflix, and The Lowdown on Hulu/FX (its first season being simulcast on Hulu). Given The Lowdown will face competition from the return of ABC's Thursday night dramas, it does have a fairly tough path to #1, whereas The Diplomat and Tulsa King are more proven successes.

Only one of the seven streaming originals premiering this coming week is predicted to fail to reach a #1 peak. That would be Victorious spinoff Hollywood Arts, which is still predicted to make a nostalgia-driven debut at #3. Its 1.2 Attention Score isn't exactly promising, but the strong performance and swift renewal of A Different World indicates this could do the same.

Broadcast Premieres

Three broadcast shows are returning to broadcast television this week: 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Nashville, and Grey's Anatomy. All experienced #1 peaks on Hulu at one point or another last season, though it took 9-1-1 until its season finale and 9-1-1: Nashville hasn't done it since its second episode. Grey's Anatomy, meanwhile, had a seven consecutive episode stretch at #1. Between the recent return of The Kardashians and upcoming return of The Lowdown, it will be tough for any show in its trio to peak at #1 within its first couple days. 9-1-1 and Grey's Anatomy are both predicted to return one spot down from their respective finales, while 9-1-1: Nashville is predicted to return one spot up.
