Superstore Renewed for Season 6

It's a super day to be a fan of Superstore. The sitcom has been renewed for a sixth season today, after a season of solid ratings thus far. The show currently averages 0.72 in the 18-49 Nielsen ratings, making it the #1 NBC comedy this season. The last time that it was the #1 NBC comedy was during its inaugural season. The show has been a consistent 8 PM anchor for NBC's Thursday lineup. America Ferrera, Ben Feldman, Lauren Ash, Mark McKinney, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos and Nichole Bloom star in the show. This season on NBC has already seen the exit of The Good Place and will soon see Will & Grace exit stage left. All three of their new comedies have garnered little interest, making Superstore's renewal fairly obvious. This was a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

Superstore Renewed for Season 5

Fans of NBC's workplace sitcom Superstore are on Cloud 9 right now. NBC has renewed the series for a fifth season, less than a week after renewing Brooklyn Nine-Nine and a few days before Superstore returns from hiatus. Superstore was previously the only non-renewed veteran comedy on NBC. Now, I Feel Bad is the only comedy without an official order for another season, but don't hold your breath on a renewal for that one. Superstore has been a solid performer since it first premiered, and has traditionally been one of the network's to comedies each season. With a 0.86 average, it's down pretty heavily this season, but so are The Good Place and Will & Grace, both to more extreme degrees. Superstore stars America Ferrera, Ben Feldman, Laure Ash, Nichole Bloom, Nico Santos and Mark McKinney. This was a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

Superstore Renewed by NBC

NBC's highest-rated sitcom Superstore has just been renewed for a third season. The show is doing decently in the ratings, usually holding on to low 1s in A18-49 self-starting on Thursday against The Big Bang Theory, a time slot where NBC has struggled for years. Its current average is a 1.24, which puts it around an 89 NBC Plus for now. Here are its week-by-week ratings:

Superstore Renewed by NBC
NBC
Superstore just finished its 11-episode first season today, and NBC has decided to give its breakout sitcom a second go-around, per the Superstore Twitter account.

Throwing away its December 28 burn-off episode, Superstore averaged a 1.55 A18-49 demo rating, slightly above league average and is one of NBC's youngest-skewing series. It is also their first real hit sitcom in years. Just like ABC's thing is family comedies, CBS's is multi-cams, FOX's is animated and niche comedies, NBC seems to thrive in the workplace comedy department more than any other department.
