Living Biblically Officially Canceled

Unsurprisingly, CBS comedy Living Biblically has been canceled. The short-lived series was yanked from the schedule in April after flopping in the 9:30 slot, going as low as 0.6. The show featured a man's quest to live his life completely by the bible, a topic unappealing to many. Johnny Galecki of CBS's megahit The Big Bang Theory produced the series, which starred Jay R. Ferguson. Lindsey Kraft, Ian Gomez, and Camryn Manheim.

Living Biblically Pulled from the Schedule by CBS

CBS has pulled new sitcom Living Biblically from the schedule after airing just 8 episodes. It saw troubled ratings in the Mondays at 9:30 time slot, with its two most recent episodes hitting a 0.6 in the coveted A18-49 Live + Same Day demographic. This was an expected cancelation for The TV Ratings Guide.

LIVING BIBLICALLY It's not a surprise that the midseason series tanked in its debut. It was never expected to be in a position to succeed, as CBS's Mondays are lacking in strength under Kevin Can Wait and Man with a Plan's leadership, as well as the fact that midseason runs tend to be rough. With a 0.8 and 0.7 across two airings, the religious sitcom is already certain to be cancelled. There's no upside to its dismal performance, especially for an unowned show that is merely continuing a terrible 9:30 trend. It always seemed like its order was mostly a favor to The Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki, who EPs the Warner Bros. production, so the loss doesn't seem significant. Moreover, Superior Donuts is the favorite fractional sitcom that stands a chance to make it out of this season alive, and even that is very far from a sure thing. 
With the expectation of early CBS renewals coming soon, new predictions will be made for Superior Donuts and Criminal Minds in the next edition of the CBS R/C. 

CBS Sets 'Instinct' and 'Living Biblically' Premiere Dates

CBS has announced premiere dates for two new series: sitcom Living Biblically, and drama Instinct.

Instinct arrives Sunday, March 11 in the 8pm hour, filling the hole left by 13-and-done Wisdom of the Crowd. The series stars Alan Cumming (The Good Wife) as Dr. Dylan Reinhart, a professor, author, and former CIA operative who joins an NYPD detective (Bojana Novakovic) when she needs his help on a serial killer hunt that originates from one of his own books.

Picking up where 9JKL leaves off (after failing to secure more than a three-episode backorder), Living Biblically premieres Monday, February 26 at 9:30pm. The sitcom stars Jay R. Ferguson (The Real O'Neals) as a man who begins to live his life according to the Bible.

Premiere dates for the upcoming sixth season of Elementary and the third season of Code Black have yet to be announced.

Living Biblically Ordered to Series by CBS

CBS has ordered comedy pilot Living Biblically, which stars Jay R. Ferguson, Ian Gomez, and Lindsey Kraft. The pilot focused on a man that decides to live his life based on the Bible. Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki was a producer for the pilot.
