Saturday TV Ratings 3/7/26: Saturday Night Live Slides, World Baseball Classic Leads, Winter Paralympics Opening Ceremony Low [+ Analysis]

Saturday Night Live (0.6, -0.16) took a tumble on NBC, this time falling short of the top spot. UFC on CBS (0.76) was more than a tenth above the sketch-comedy staple, which gave 48 Hours (0.27, +0.15) a noticeable boost. But despite the solid performance from UFC, it was baseball on Fox (0.79) that posted the highest Adults 18-49 rating on Saturday. NBA on ABC (0.35) paled in comparison. The CW's NASCAR broadcast (0.15) posted a strong rating by the network's standards. Key: (R) = repeat.

Friday TV Ratings 9/6/24: WWE SmackDown Drops for Final Fox Broadcast, Paralympics Weak, Lingo Declines [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: In its final Fox broadcast, WWE Smackdown (0.45, -0.08) slipped but maintained its lead. On NBC, the 2024 Paris Paralympics (0.16) remained a poor performer, dropping once more from its America's Got Talent repeat lead-in (0.23). ABC's 20/20 (0.26) built significantly on the repeat of Shark Tank (0.18) that led into it. Let's Make a Deal Primetime (0.21, +0.01) inched up on CBS, but Lingo (0.15, -0.04) declined. The CW aired the premiere of Whose Line Is It Anyway? (0.05/0.05), Totally Funny Animals (0.05, +0.02), and Totally Funny Kids (0.04, 0.00). Key: (P) = premiere. (R) = repeat. 

Sunday TV Ratings 9/1/24: The Great North Nears Series Low in Return, College Football on ABC Dominates, Big Brother Slips [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: ABC's broadcast of the USC v. LSU college football game (2.19) topped the night in the Adults 18-49 demographic and brought in over 8.6 million total viewers. On Fox, The Great North (0.11, -0.05) returned in abysmal fashion and declined from the Family Guy repeat (0.13) that led into it. Tulsa King (0.13, -0.13) and Big Brother (0.41, -0.11) plummeted on CBS. Over on NBC, the 2024 Paris Paralympics (0.20, +0.05) picked up a bit. Totally Funny Kids (0.05, +0.01) and Totally Funny Animals (0.04, +0.01) inched up on the CW, with Animals leading into the season premiere of The Chosen (0.04). Key: (P) = premiere. (R) = repeat.

Friday TV Ratings 8/30/24: 2024 Paralympics Opening Ceremony Low, Inside the NFL Returns Down, Declining WWE SmackDown Leads [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: On NBC, the 2024 Paris Paralympics (0.15) performed poorly in the Adults 18-49 demographic, falling behind the America's Got Talent rerun (0.16) that led into it. Let's Make a Deal Primetime (0.20, 0.00) held steady on CBS, while Lingo (0.19, +0.04) climbed higher. Fox's WWE Smackdown (0.53, -0.03) remained on top despite a decline. On the CW, Inside the NFL (0.04) was a hundredth shy of its February finale (0.05) in its return. On ABC, repeats of Jeopardy! Masters (0.18) and 20/20 (0.19) beat out NBC's lineup. Ratings Analysis: Despite host Zoe Kravitz and musical guest Rosalia putting on quite a show, NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' (0.80, -0.01) inched down to its lowest rating to date. Earlier in the evening, the '2022 Winter Paralympics' (0.17, -0.02) dropped by two-hundredths from Friday's broadcast. A repeat of 'Dateline' (0.18) and 'SNL Vintage' (0.25) occupied the 9PM and 10PM slots respectively. ABC had the strongest offering in primetime with its telecast of the 'Bucks v. Warriors' NBA game (0.64). 'NBA Countdown' (0.26) came in second place in the 8PM timeslot. Fox got some decent mileage out of the 'Big East Tournament Championship' (0.28), the 'Big East' postgame (0.19), and 'Pac-12 Tournament Championship' (0.32). CBS's '48 Hours' (0.28, -0.01) shed a hundredth behind a 'Neighborhood' rerun (0.14), an encore of 'Bob Hearts Abishola' (0.17), and a repeat of itself' (0.24). The CW's 'Great Chocolate Showdown' (0.06) held flat but 'World's Funniest Animals' (0.02, -0.04) plummeted to egregious levels. The 'Funniest Animals' encore (0.05) had more life in it at 9:30PM. 
 
Finals Update: 'NBA: Bucks v. Warriors' (+0.2), 'Pac-12 Tournament Championship' (+0.1), and the repeat of 'Bob Hearts Abishola' (+0.1) adjusted up. 'Big East Tournament Championship' (-0.1), 'Big East Tournament Postgame' (-0.1), and repeats of 'The Neighborhood' (-0.1) and 'Dateline NBC' (-0.1) adjusted down.
