EMMY RACE: Outstanding Drama Series

The Emmys are just around the corner! Here's a look at Outstanding Drama Series!

OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES
The Diplomat (Netflix)
The Gilded Age (HBO)
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (HBO)
Paradise (Hulu)
The Pitt (HBO Max)
Pluribus (Apple TV)
Slow Horses (Apple TV)
Your Friends & Neighbors (Apple TV)

Of the big three awards, this si absolutely the easiest to predict. It's going to be The Pitt for a second year in a row. Last year, it was a real toss-up whether The Pitt or Severance would win but there is no such competition this time around for the biggest drama on TV. The second place show is most likely Pluribus with its huge haul of nominations but no one thinks it will actually pull off the win especially if Severance couldn't last year. After that, it's just a bunch of "along for the ride" shows. Paradise had some momentum last year and got back in this year to the nominations but it's not winning. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms was better received than House of the Dragon but it's still no Game of Thrones. The Diplomat, Slow Horses and The Gilded Age are perennial nominees that aren't going to win. And Your Friends & Neighbors getting exactly one nomination but it being in this category is pretty ridiculous, especially when Task got nominated in a bunch of other categories.

Will Win: The Pitt
Power Ranking the Rest by Chance of a Win:
2. Pluribus
3. Paradise
4. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
5. The Diplomat
6. Slow Horses
7. The Gilded Age
8. Your Friends & Neighbors

Should Win: The Pitt
Should Have Been Nominated: Task
