Tuesday TV Ratings 7/6/21: NBA Finals Down from 2020, America’s Got Talent Slips, LEGO Masters and College Bowl Steady (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: The Milwaukee Bucks faced off against the Phoenix Suns in the first game of the 2021 NBA Finals, notching a 2.0 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic. This was just a tenth behind the preliminary 2.1 that the first finals game garnered last year, meaning NBA ratings seem to have stabilized for now. As usual, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night' (1.2) and 'NBA Countdown' (1.1) preceded the main attraction. ABC's dominance meant that NBC had to settle for second, with 'America's Got Talent' (0.8) dropping by two-tenths when compared to its last installment. There was a bit of a silver lining at 10 as 'Capital One College Bowl' (0.4) managed to match its week-ago rating. Fox's 'LEGO Masters' (0.5) and 'Mental Samurai' (0.3) both tied their previous Tuesday broadcasts. CBS's repeat lineup of 'NCIS' (0.3), 'FBI' (0.3), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.3) maintained the same rating throughout the night. 'The Flash' (0.2) and a rerun of 'Superman & Lois' (0.1) were steady with seven days prior.

Finals Update: 'America's Got Talent' (+0.1) and 'NBA Finals Game 1' (+0.9) adjusted up. 'Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night' (-0.6) and 'NBA Countdown' (-0.3) adjusted down.
