Tuesday TV Ratings 6/1/21: America’s Got Talent Returns Up from Finale, LEGO Masters Collapses without The Masked Singer, New Amsterdam and Mental Samurai Rise (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: NBC's 'America's Got Talent' (0.9) returned in decent shape, roughly on-par with its September finale (0.8/0.9) but still six-tenths below its May 2020 start (1.5). That stronger lead-in seemingly helped 'New Amsterdam' (0.5) rise to its highest rating since early March. On Fox, 'LEGO Masters' (0.4) floundered out the gate for its second season premiere. While it was off the air for over a year and no longer has the luxury of airing after peak 'Masked Singer', this result comes nearly 60% below its previous low (0.9). 'Masters' still grew two-tenths from the week-ago 'Game of Talents' finale, which meant that 'Mental Samurai' (0.3) was able to pick up a tenth at 9. ABC's Mike Tyson documentary (0.4) lost a tick from last week's performance and led into a rerun of 'To Tell the Truth' (0.4). CBS had 0.4s across the board with repeats of 'NCIS', 'FBI', and 'FBI: Most Wanted'. The CW's 'Superman & Lois' (0.1) shed a tenth behind a repeat of itself (0.1).

Finals Update: 'America's Got Talent' (1.0, +0.1), 'LEGO Masters' (0.5, +0.1), and 'Mike Tyson: The Knockout' (0.5, +0.1) adjusted up.
