Thursday TV Ratings 12/17/20: CBS Comedies and Grey’s Anatomy Down for Midseason Finales, Station 19 Rises, NFL Also Down (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: ABC had a mixed bag on midseason finale night as 'Station 19' (0.9) rose a tenth for its final episode of 2020 but 'Grey's Anatomy' (1.0) lost two. 'A Million Little Things' (0.5) managed to hold steady at 10pm despite a reduced lead-in. 'Young Sheldon' (0.7), 'B Positive' (0.5), and 'The Unicorn' (0.4) all shed a tenth on CBS while 'Mom' (0.5) took a more alarming two-tenth dip. 'Star Trek: Discovery' (0.2) did not budge at 10. Fox's 'Chargers v. Raiders' NFL game (2.2) was a tenth short of what last week's 'Patriots v. Rams' game (2.3) posted in preliminary ratings. NBC went with a 'Dolly Parton' movie repeat (0.4) and a 'Dateline' original (0.4). The CW had an animal-themed evening with 'Dog of the Year' (0.1) and 'World's Funniest Animals' (0.1/0.1).

Finals Update: Fox's NFL game (3.4, +1.1), 'Station 19' (1.0, +0.1), and 'Grey's Anatomy' (1.1, +0.1) all adjusted up.
