FADE IN:

EXT. A RANDOM HOUSE IN CONNECTICUT - NIGHT

In a random neighborhood in the suburbs of Hartford, Connecticut, a well lit brick home is established in the middle of a cul-de-sac.

INT. JACK’S ROOM - NIGHT

We see Jack contemplating in his room, laying on the bed as he stares into the ceiling.

JACK
Ugh, time to do some writing now. I wonder what is happening today.

In a snail’s pace, he gets up.

He catches his breath for a moment.

Then he goes to his laptop on his desk and opens it.

He sits at his desk.

He browses the Internet.

He then begins typing.

On the screen, we zoom in to reveal that Jack is writing a blog post for Guide to TV Ratings.

SUPER: AN HOUR LATER

Jack breathes out a sigh of relief as he clicks “publish” on the post.

He then gets up from his desk and paces back and forth.

He then gets an IM message.

INSERT - TEXT MESSAGE, reading: “Hey Jack, I loved your piece. Keep up the good work. Noah.”

Jack then smiles and returns to his place on the desk, to begin working on another article.

EXT. DOWNTOWN SEATTLE - EARLY EVENING

The skyline of Seattle is misty, as usual, from the rain that fell early.

EXT. AVENUE B APARTMENT COMPLEX - EARLY EVENING

We see Noah getting out of the apartment complex on Avenue B.

Noah smiles, confidently enough to take on the evening shift.

Noah then gets into his car.

INT. NOAH’S CAR - EARLY EVENING

On the driver’s side, Noah takes a deep breath.

NOAH
Things are looking up. New site, new friends. What are the possibilities?

He then drives out of the apartment complex parking lot.

SUPER: MONTHS LATER

After Noah and Jack write for the website for a while, things hit a snag.

INT. NOAH’S APARTMENT BEDROOM - NIGHT

It is 9:00pm.

Noah’s bedroom is dimly lit.

Noah sits on his bed, on his phone.

He gets a phone call.

Noah answers the phone. It is Jack on the other line.

Noah then gets up and paces back and forth.

INTERCUT - JACK’S ROOM/NOAH’S APARTMENT BEDROOM

Jack paces back and forth.

JACK
I don’t think we should do this anymore.

NOAH
I agree. Working on this site is just so draining. Not to mention, there is a lot of infighting.

JACK
I have noticed that too. It doesn’t make it fun.

NOAH
And don’t get me started on Ken.

Jack laughs.

JACK
Say, I heard Beverly Hills is calling our name.

NOAH
Are you suggesting a move to California? Hours from the beach? I’m in, but when?

JACK
After we save up enough to go.

Noah then nods.

The phone conversation ends.

Noah then looks up.

He then finds his laptop.

He begins work on a blog post.

And we end this episode here. Next week, we are back on the storyline as Jack and Noah continue on the quest to find a place to live.
