INT. CONFERENCE ROOM - DAY
LEAH and KASEY gather in the conference room as the annual up-front presentation commences.
Leah holds a clipboard containing a report.
Kasey is nibbling on some snacks.
LEAH
Nibbling much?
KASEY
Just feeding for two.
LEAH
Oh. I forgot you were pregnant for a second.
KASEY
(chuckles)
I get that a lot.
Leah then puts the clipboard down on the counter.
LEAH
So, I have the agenda.
Kasey looks at the clipboard. She raises her eyebrows.
KASEY
That is an interesting name for a panel.
LEAH
What is?
KASEY
Sports Gone Wild.
LEAH
(giggles)
That's interesting.
Kasey blushes. She then takes the clipboard and places it on the table.
JESSE and MATT walk in.
JESSE
Ladies! Ready to go?
LEAH
Coming. We have our reports ready.
MATT
Okay, let's go.
The four of them leave the scene quickly and preparedly.
INT. GREEN ROOM - CONTINUOUS
Leah, Jesse, Matt, and Kasey enter the scene.
Leah is adjusting her hair.
Matt holds the clipboard.
Kasey and Jesse look at each other while handing each other the reports.
They each hand them to Leah.
LEAH
Thanks. I needed those.
JESSE
It's not a problem. Ash and Charlie need those.
LEAH
Copy that.
CHARLIE enters the scene.
CHARLIE
Say, where are the reports?
LEAH
(holding them)
In my hands.
CHARLIE
Thank you.
Leah flashes a welcoming smile.
CHARLIE (CONT'D)
We go on in ten minutes.
JESSE
Alrighty then.
Jesse hands the reports given from Kasey to Charlie.
CHARLIE
Now we are prepared.
Charlie walks to the front of the conference room.
Leah looks at Kasey. Kasey nods.
CHARLIE (CONT'D)
Anything else before I join Ash?
MATT
We're good.
CHARLIE
Glad to hear.
JESSE
Let us know how it goes!
Charlie smiles, and leaves the scene.
Matt then walks over to Jesse.
MATT
Should we watch Twitter?
KASEY
(interrupting)
Exactly what I was going to do.
Kasey pulls out her phone.
LEAH
(to Kasey)
What are you doing?
KASEY
Checking the socials.
JESSE
It's one way to tell if the presentation is going well or going wrong.
Leah rolls her eyes and then sits down on a couch.
Matt then sits down next to her.
CUT TO:
INT. PODIUM - FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER
Charlie and ASH are presenting at the annual up-front presentation.
CHARLIE
And now, let's begin with Monday nights!
Ash paces back and forth.
ASH
Mondays, we have Real Hollywood followed by new drama Paradise. On Tuesday nights, we have Tuesday night comedy Marietta and new comedies Plan A, Our House, and Finally Together.
CHARLIE
Wednesdays, The Choice is coming back, along with a new show called Cardinal Heights. On Thursday nights, we have The President's Daughter, followed by a new season of Glamanour Heights on its brand new time.
ASH
On Fridays, we have Life with Jess, followed by new comedy The Bullpen. Following the comedies, we have Headlines!
The audience applauds.
INT. GREEN ROOM - CONTINUOUS
Kasey smiles as she is looking through the phone.
KASEY
It's going well!
LEAH
Did you know that last time that a up-front presentation went well and had this much excitement?
JESSE
Beats me.
Jesse is making sandwiches for the gang.
Matt is pacing back and forth.
MATT
Please no boos. Please no boos.
CUT TO:
INT. GREEN ROOM - THIRTY MINUTES LATER
Leah, Kasey, Jesse, and Matt are eating sandwiches when Charlie and Ash enters the scene.
CHARLIE
Good news! We did it!
ASH
Best received presentation ever!
JESSE
Wow.
KASEY
(smiles)
That's great!
ASH
Our future is looking bright.
CHARLIE
The turnaround is coming!
Everyone laughs.
