Sunday TV Ratings 2/25/18: Olympics Close On an Upswing, Celebrity Big Brother Ends Higher

It was a busy Sunday compared to what we've seen recently, with all but Fox airing mostly originals throughout the night. Despite the increased competition and lower ratings, it was still undeniably NBC's night, winning all timeslots. At 7, they aired an Olympic Gold special to decent results, with a 1.6 for the hour. Then at 8, the Closing Ceremonies were broadcast (not at all) live, drawing a 2.5 for its two-hour run. They aired another episode of AP Bio at 10:30, drawing little interest with a 1.1, up only three tenths from its premiere despite a much larger lead-in. Elsewhere, the Celebrity Big Brother finale drew a 1.4, way up from its Saturday airing and well above its season average. The show has proven to be solid filler, but its fate beyond that seems uncertain. It was preceded by a moderate rating for 60 Minutes and a dismal rating for a repeat of NCIS: LA. ABC aired the Women Tell All special of the Bachelor, as well as the finale of Shark Tank. Both did unspectacular, but The Bachelor did fine for an out-of-timeslot airing and Shark Tank was up from last week. Fox had bizarrely-rated Brooklyn Nine-Nine repeat at 7 and normally-rated repeats of the other comedies they've been repeating recently.
