Murder in a Small Town Renewed by Fox

In their first renewal since the beginning of the season, and the second renewal overall after Universal Basic Guys, Fox has renewed co-production Murder in a Small Town for a second season. The procedural drama was one of several new entries on Fox this season, drawing mediocre ratings for its short Tuesday night run. While it improved on the performance of spring shows The Cleaning Lady and Alert, and rated higher than lead-out Accused, the series is one of Fox's lowest-rated series, ranking thirteenth out of sixteen shows on the network. Still, Fox produces the series with Canadian network Global, with Global taking on the brunt of production expenditures, making it a cost-effective entry for the network that has struggled in recent times to make any scripted shows stick in recent seasons. Kristin Kreuk and Rossif Sutherland star in the series. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
