ABC's Emmy and Golden Globe-winning hit comedy series Abbott Elementary will be back in session next season. The network has handed an early renewal to the series today following a season of strong ratings and even stronger multiplatform performances. Abbott is one of broadcast TV's top performers on streaming, with its 0.50 same-day linear rating ballooning to a 3.58 with a 35-day multiplatform window added in, an increase from season one. Quinta Brunson created and stars in the series, with Janelle James, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lisa Ann Walter, Tyler James Williams, Chris Perfetti and William Stanford Davis also starring as teachers and staffers at the show's titular school.
