Ratings Analysis: For the third day in a row, NBC dealt with comedy misfortunes as another round of sitcom launches ranged from just passable to completely abysmal. 'Young Rock' (0.51) was the strongest of the uninspiring bunch but was only five-hundredths above its season one low. 'Kenan' (0.36) followed that up by merely tying its series low and suffered a humiliating loss to a repeat of 'The Wonder Years' (0.37) on ABC. 'Mr. Mayor' (0.35) returned in even worse shape than the other two, coming in a full tenth behind its previous low and well below the 0.5s it usually managed in early 2021. 'A Very Chrisley Christmas' (0.26) and a Kelly Clarkson Christmas special (0.23) only slipped from there. On CBS, 'Survivor' (0.99, +0.08) gained nearly a tenth for its finale and led into a solid reunion special of itself (0.69). Fox's finale of 'The Masked Singer' (0.99, +0.15) was able to tie 'Survivor', and the 8pm 'Masked Singer' clip-show (0.84) was well above the post-finale 'Survivor' special. ABC had respectable reruns of 'The Goldbergs' (0.45) and 'The Wonder Years' (0.37), but 'The Conners' (0.23) and 'Home Economics' (0.23) were on the meager side, so much so that a 10pm encore of 'The Chase' (0.25) improved from the 9pm pair. The CW had an 'iHeartRadio Jingle Ball' (0.12) but forgot to send out the invitations.
Finals Update: 'Survivor' (+0.1), 'The Masked Singer' (+0.1), 'Kenan' (+0.1), 'Mr. Mayor' (+0.1), 'A Very Chrisley Christmas' (+0.1), and repeats of 'The Goldbergs' (+0.1) and 'The Chase' (+0.1) adjusted up.
