Sitcom super-creator Chuck Lorre's newest show will be back for a second season. Bob Hearts Abishola has been renewed today. It rates as the second-highest-rated new comedy this season, behind Fox's Bless the Harts, averaging 0.75. That also makes it one of the top 10 comedies on all of broadcast TV and CBS's #7 scripted show. Between the solid ratings and the Lorre pedigree, the show has looked safe for much of the season. Bob Hearts Abishola has a large ensemble cast that includes Billy Gardell, Folake Olowofoyeku, Christine Ebersole, Matt Jones, Maribeth Monroe, Shola Adewusi and Vernee Watson, along with co-creator Gina Yashere.
