Forever, The Romanoffs and More Canceled by Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime Video has canceled five of its original series. Comedy-drama Forever, anthology drama The Romanoffs, horror anthology Lore, crime drama Too Old to Die Young, and comedy-drama Patriot will not be returning for additional seasons on the streaming service. With the exception of Too Old to Die Young, all were released in the back half of 2018.

Forever centered on a married couple who live a formulaic life a major event changes their lives forever. Maya Rudolph and Fred Armisen starred in the series, which ran one season of eight episodes.

The Romanoffs centered on a different story in each episode, with each episode centering on a different group of people who believe themselves to be descendants of the Romanoff family of Russia. Diane Lane, Christina Hendricks, Isabelle Huppert, Kathryn Hahn and Paul Reiser were among the famous names that appeared in an episode of the series. Like Forever, it ran for one season of eight episodes.

Lore combined documentary footage with cinematic scenes to tell horror stories and their origins. Adam Goldberg, Robert Patrick and Holland Roden all appeared in the series, which ran for two seasons and twelve episodes.

Too Old to Die Young centered on a grieving police officer who finds himself in an underworld filled with working-class hit men, the Russian mafia and cartel assassins, among others. Miles Teller, John Hawkes, and Jena Malone starred in the series, which ran a single season of ten episodes.

Patriot focused on an intelligence officer who must assume a non-official cover as a mid-level employee at an industrial piping firm. Michael Dorman, Kurtwood Smith, Terry O'Quinn and Debra Winger starred in the series, which lasted two seasons and eighteen episodes.
