In addition to renewing its scripted programming, Hulu has also ordered a Triumph the insult comic dog election special and has acquired a Beatles documentary directed by Ron Howard.
This will be the second Triumph election special for Hulu, as the first one was aired in February which focused on the Presidential Primaries. The new special set for later this year, will focus on the general elections.
The new Beatles documentary will focus on the first part of their career from 1962-1966 and will feature rare footage from that time in their lives. The documentary has received cooperation from the surviving Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr as well as the wives of their deceased members, Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison. The release date is set for fall later this year, where the documentary will first be shown in cinemas before being available on Hulu
