Ratings Analysis: ABC brought back Disney-based Christmas specials 'Olaf's Frozen Adventure' (0.46) and 'Toy Story That Time Forgot' (0.39) for their annual broadcasts. On a year-to-year basis, 'Olaf' was essentially on-par with its 2020 showing (0.5) while 'Toy Story' was a tenth lower than its previous outing (0.5). Reruns of 'The Conners' (0.28), 'Home Economics' (0.21), and 'The Chase' (0.17) filled out the remainder of the evening. Over on CBS, 'Survivor' (0.91, +0.04) rose by four-hundredths and guarded its position as the highest-rated program of the night. At 9, 'Tough As Nails' (0.38) held even for its finale, but 'CSI: Vegas' (0.37, -0.02) lost two-hundredths for its season closer. Fox's 'Alter Ego' (0.33, -0.04) dropped to a new low for its finale, even though 'The Masked Singer' (0.85) was steady in the 8pm hour. On NBC, 'Chicago Med' (0.70, -0.01) fell by a hundredth, but 'Chicago Fire' (0.74, +0.04) and 'Chicago PD' (0.70, +0.05) made some visible gains at 9 and 10 respectively. The CW's 'Christmas Around the World' special (0.07) performed about the same as the majority of the network's original programming.
