Monday TV Ratings 8/2/21: Olympics Rise, The Bachelorette and Celebrity Dating Game Also Up (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: ABC enjoyed a bit of a surge as 'The Bachelorette' (0.9) gained two-tenths and 'Celebrity Dating Game' (0.4) rose by one. Of course, they were still no match for the latest broadcast of the 'Summer Olympics' (2.8) on NBC. The ceremony crept up yet again, rising by two-tenths from Sunday's preliminary rating (2.6). CBS had a carousel of reruns, with 'The Neighborhood' garnering a 0.3 and every other repeat managing just a 0.2 rating. Fox had encore telecasts of 'Hell's Kitchen' (0.3), 'HouseBroken' (0.2), and 'Duncanville' (0.2) that were in the same range. 'Duncan' was able to tie the rating it normally posts for a new episode. The CW didn't move a muscle as both 'Roswell, New Mexico' (0.1) and 'The Republic of Sarah' (0.0) were steady.

Finals Update: 2020 Tokyo Olympics (+0.2), The Bachelorette (+0.1) and the repeat of Bob Hearts Abishola (+0.1) adjusted up. The Celebrity Dating Game (-0.1) adjusted down.
