Preliminary Analysis: Back from a week off the air, it was a particularly ugly scene on the ABC comedy front. Anchors 'The Goldbergs' (0.6) and 'The Conners' (0.6) shed two-tenths and a tenth respectively, both sinking to new series lows. The sitcoms at the bottom of the hour held up better as 'American Housewife' (0.6) was even at 8:30 and 'Black-ish' (0.4) inched down from its last episode. At 10pm, legal drama 'For Life' (0.4) returned rather poorly, matching its low-point from last year and falling well below its solid February debut (0.7). Over on Fox, a steady 'The Masked Singer' (1.6) once again managed to top the other networks. Lead-out program 'I Can See Your Voice' (1.0) gained a tenth and was the only show of the night to rise from its last episode. NBC's 'One Chicago' trio saw some minor slippage from their week-ago premieres as 'Chicago Med' (1.0) and 'Chicago PD' (0.8) each lost two-tenths. In the middle, 'Chicago Fire' (0.9) only shed one-tenth. A two-hour edition of of 'The Amazing Race' (0.6/0.5) went well below last week's one-hour episode (0.7) on CBS. 10pm drama 'SWAT' (0.3) sunk even further, losing a tenth from an already anemic premiere rating. 'Devils' (0.1) and 'Coroner' (0.1) were both flat on the CW.
Finals Update: The Goldbergs (+0.1), The Masked Singer (+0.1), both episodes of The Amazing Race (+0.1 each) and Chicago Fire (+0.1) adjusted up.
