What Just Happened??!: This is arguably one of the biggest flops that has ever aired on broadcast television. A 0.2 is absolutely unacceptable for an episode of a Big 4 show, even in the summer. It's even worse that this was its premiere rating. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it pulled from the schedule entirely, considering that it could only retain half of its already-modest Family Guy repeat. This is a CERTAIN CANCELLATION, the most certain of a cancellation I have ever been.

Instinct: What Just Happened is a huge flop, but that shouldn't make Instinct feel any better about itself. It still managed to only get a 0.3 after a 1.0 Big Brother, which is clearly terrible. It was a flop last season, and it didn't deserve its renewal at all, but it didn't go this low before it was renewed. There's no way that it can make it out alive this time around. CBS has already renewed one flop summer show this year, and that was a first-season show. CBS does usually give its new summer shows a second chance, but Instinct already got a second chance and it failed. It's a CERTAIN CANCELLATION.

Reef Break: Rounding out this breakdown of flops is Reef Break. While it's arguably the least floppy show of the three shows I'm discussing this week, it is still undeniably a flop. In week two, it dropped two tenths and hit a 0.3. Sure, it did have increased competition from the Democratic Presidential Debate, but its Family Food Fight lead-in managed to hold steady with a 0.6. Reef Break was seemingly picked up just to give ABC something scripted to air this summer, similar to Take Two last season and Somewhere Between the season before. Neither of those shows were seemingly in contention for renewal, considering how low-rated they were, and the case seems to be the same with Reef Break. There isn't really any incentive to renew it. For that reason, I'm downgrading it to a CERTAIN CANCELLATION. Congrats, The InBetween, you got three new companions this week!
