Only two exiting/failed ABC shows changed the lineup, as the 2:00-3:00 showings rated marginally against NBC's offerings.
CBS continued to rule the soap game with their six serials traipsed across the lineup. NBC's 90-minute soap block gained momentum from 2:00-3:30, with all gaining over a point from the prior season. ABC's franchise, however, was troubled at best. GH lost ground, and DS only made mild gains. And the 2:00-3:00 entries failed to gain viewers and were axed inside the season.
