Hulu Cancels Chance After Two Seasons

Hulu has canceled the Hugh Laurie crime drama Chance after two seasons. It premiered in October 2016 and its second season was released in October and November of 2017. It was given a straight-to-series two season order for the two ten-episode seasons that were released.

This news comes as Hulu has been cleaning house ever since their drama The Handmaid's Tale was a success. Comedy The Mindy Project has ended, and the streaming service also ended their other comedies Difficult People, which was canceled after three seasons, and Casual, which was renewed for a fourth and final season that is yet to premiere.

Hulu still has three scripted shows yet to be renewed or canceled: Dimension 404, the first and so far only season of which was released in April 2017, Shut Eye, the second season of which was released on December 6, 2017, and Freakish, the second season of which was released on October 18, 2017. The streaming service's newest additions, comedy Future Man and Marvel drama Runaways, were renewed for second seasons yesterday. The third season of drama The Path will premiere on January 18, and the second season of The Handmaid's Tale will premiere in April. In addition to these shows, the streaming service currently has talk show I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman whose fate is pending and UK co-production Harlots which has been renewed for a second season.

This cancelation is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide. The first streaming service renew/cancel article can be viewed here.
