It was a good night to be Fox, as they finally got the huge NFL game they've desperately needed all season. It helped The Simpsons easily coast to a season high. Behind it was a special hourlong Bob's Burgers Christmas musical episode, which delivered ratings higher than Ghosted ever did on an NFL night. Family Guy aired at 9:30 and put regular occupant The Last Man on Earth to shame, with a 1.2 that LMOE could only dream of. CBS didn't have an NFL halo, so 60 Minutes had a well-below-average rating of 1.1. Behind it was a series low 0.7 for Wisdom of the Crowd, with NCIS: LA not doing much better at 9 with 0.8. Madam Secretary bucked the downward CBS trend with an uptick to 0.7, a number the show hasn't seen since October. ABC had a special airing of Frozen. The movie's ratings melted a bit, down to 1.1. The movie came down to earth after last year's great rating. Behind it was Encore!, which managed to flop hard, as expected. NBC had a football game that was down from last week's prelims, but was in line with the game from two weeks ago.
Finals Update: The Simpsons (-0.4), The OT (-1.1), Football Night In America (-0.5), and 60 Minutes (-0.1) adjusted down. NFL Overrun (+0.2) adjusted up.
