2017-18 Week 12 Sitcom Scorecard -- ABC and FOX Tie in Increases as CBS Comes Unthreaded

The yule tides turned for the week of December 10-14 for sitcoms as most placed their Christmas orders early.  FOX soared, ABC rebounded and CBS lost ground.  Also making rounds is discussion of the Roseanne revival is slated to premiere on March 27, 2018.  This will be facilitated as Fresh Off the Boat bows out early on March 20, and the Middle coasts its seasonal remains at 8:30 timeslot to make room for Roseanne at 8:00.


FOX enjoyed the spoils this week, as the Simpsons roped in a healthy 2.4 on Sunday, December 10.  A special double helping of Bob's Burgers played into that sizable opportunity, belting out double helpings of a season high 1.4.  And Family Guy ticked up a tenth (1.2).  Monday, December 11 was not as kind to the CBS lineup as Kevin Can Wait ticked down a tenth (1.1), Man With a Plan tied its series low (1.0), Superior Donuts held stable (0.9), and 9JKL inches closer to eviction now it registered a new series low (0.7).  Also, MWAP and 9JKL dropped into the Anemic Range after resting on the delta of the Middle of the Pack.

Tuesday, December 12 delivered yule tides of ratings cheer for most as The Middle regained a tenth (1.3), as did Fresh Off The Boat (1.0).  Blackish boasted an impressive two-tenth gain (1.2), The Mayor ticked up a tenth (0.8), and FOX delivered a stable, double dose of Brooklyn 99 (0.7).  Wednesday, December 13 saw rebounds across the board, starting with the Goldbergs regaining a tenth (1.6), Speechless breaking its holding pattern and boasting its highest helping in 8 episodes (1.2), Modern Family held steady (1.7), and American Housewife ticked up a tenth (1.3).  Thursday, December 14 delivered mostly stable ratings.  The Big Bang dropped two tenths (2.6), Young Sheldon also made the same drop (2.0), and Mom (1.4) and Life in Pieces (1.1) delivered steady.
